Prof. Alon has an MBA in International Business from Fairleigh Dickinson University, an MA in Economics from Kent State University and a PhD in Business Administration from the Department of Economics at Kent State University.

Prof. Alon is a full professor with an international reputation as well as diverse academic and professional experience. He is a leading and influential researcher in the fields of; Chinese economy, crypto economics (digital currencies) and international business and has published many research studies in respected forums in the fields of economics and business administration. His research resonates within and outside of the academic world with numerous citations in journals and academic literature.

Prof. Alon was visiting scholar in top universities worldwide, including, Harvard University, Georgetown University in the USA, Copenhagen Business School in Denmark, and Jiaotong University in China. He is a contributor to many leading journals in the fields of economics and international business and serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Emerging Markets. His last academic position was as a full professor at Ariel University.

Along with his impressive academic work, Prof. Alon has extensive experience in consulting. Over the years, Prof. Alon has served as a consultant to various government agencies, such as the United Nations and USAID, and multinational companies, such as Disney and illy, in matters relating to economic development. He is currently serving on a number of advisory boards for start up companies in Israel.
