About
The Institute for the Research and Development of Smart Video Systems has been part of the School of Computer Science since 2004. Its main goal is to lead research and development in automated analysis of visual data for medicine, defense, industry and consumer devices. The Institute facilitates collaborative projects with various stakeholders in Israel and abroad and integrates students and graduates into cutting-edge research and development within the industry.

Prof. Samuel Itzikowitz
Director
Prof. Samuel Itzikowitz, Director of the institute for the Research and Development of Smart Video Systems, is a graduate of Tel-Aviv University and of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (NY). He was the founding Dean of the School of Computer Science. His research areas are parallel computing, signal processing, digital video systems and computational medicine.
