Designers’ Clinic

The Peace Sullivan Designers’ Clinic at the school of Design and Innovation

The Designers’ Clinic, unique in Israel, allows design students to engage in improving the daily lives of various populations in need through architectural design activities.

The clinic’s objective is to facilitate collaboration with various organizations to meet the needs of communities that were not met or satisfied by the government, the local authorities or private businesses. Among others, noted projects included the redesign of a community center in what is considered the toughest neighborhood in Lod, creating a welcoming space for interaction between the Arab and Jewish populations for communal activities, renovating the learning environment in the Dror School for Children at Risk in Ramle as well as training the students in 3D printing and design tools, creating a new logo for the Israeli Foundation for Liver Disease, designing break rooms for the college cleaning staff, interior design for a community center in the Jesse Cohen neighborhood in Holon as well as pro bono graphic design of brochures for various community organizations.
