3 Levin Ronit

Ronit Levine has been teaching at the College of Management since 1989 and currently serves as coordinator of introductory courses in economics as well as a lecturer in these courses.
She holds a master’s degree in economics from Tel Aviv University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Tel Aviv University.

In addition to teaching economics, Ronit specializes in learning skills in economics and has developed workshops and an online course as part of the “Hahamma Project”. Economics classes taught by Ronit Levine can be viewed on YouTube.

2 Lapidot-Raz Yael

Dr. Yael Lapidot-Raz is a senior lecturer of organizational behavior and holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the Faculty of Management at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She received her M.Sc. and B.A from Tel-Aviv university.

At COLMAN’s Faculty of Business, Yael has served as Associate Dean of Student Affairs, Head of the Management and Organizational studies Department, Associate Dean.

Yael has published articles on leadership and trust in Israeli and International professional journals. Furthermore, she has extensive hands-on experience in organizational consulting and business and is the co-founder of Blat Lapidot Consulting and Change Management, which advises companies on management training and change management.

2 Arav Dan

Dr. Dan Arav, Dean of the School of Media Studies, holds a B.A. from the Department of Film and Television at Tel-Aviv University (1985), an M.A. in Communication from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem (1993) and a Ph.D from the Porter School of Culture Studies at Tel-Aviv University.

His research fields focus on ideological dimensions of popular culture, television and national memory in Israel, and media activism and social change.

Arav is the author of various articles and book chapters in the fields of Public Memory and Media Studies. His most recent book is Metim Lir’ot (Dying to See, 2017) is a deep survey on the televised memory of war in Israel. In 2012, along with Dr. David Gurevitch, he published the Encyclopedia of Ideas: Culture, Thought, Media (1623 p. Hebrew), which gained critical and public success.

Dan Arav is involved in various aspects of documentary television and media productions. He was the creator and series editor of IDF: The Musical, a documentary TV series on the history of Israeli army entertainment groups. The series was broadcast on Channel 2. He narrates Culture Hero, a radio program and a podcast at Kan – Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation.

1 Rabin Yoram

Professor Yoram Rabin is the president of the College of Management Academic Studies (COLMAN). Previously, he was a faculty member at the Striks School of Law and served as Dean of the Law School from 2011-2015. Prof. Rabin obtained his LL.B. from the College of Management Law School and attended Tel-Aviv University earning LL.M. degree and JSD (doctorate). From 2015-2019, Prof. Rabin served as the appointed Legal Adviser of the Israeli State Comptroller.

Prof. Rabin has authored and edited several books on Public Law, Human Rights, and Criminal Law. He is one of the founding members of the Movement for Freedom of Information in Israel and a member of the National Committee for Reform of Education (Dovrat Commission) in 2003/4. He was the editor of “Hamishpat” Law Review (2005) and “Hapraklit” Law Review (The Israeli Bar Law Review) (2005-2015). In 2008, Prof. Rabin published (together with Dr. Yani Vaki) what has become Israel’s leading textbook on Criminal Law. A second edition of the book’s two volumes was published in 2010 and the third edition, adding a third volume, was published in 2014. His books and articles have been cited many times in judgements of Israel’s Supreme Court.

Criminal Law; Administrative Law; Constitutional Law; Economic, Social and Cultural Rights; and the Right to Education.

3 Elnathan Dan

Dan is an Associate Professor of Accounting and holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. He received his M.B.A. and B.A from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. At COLMAN’s School of Business Administration, Dan has served as Chair of the Accounting Department, Director of Undergraduate Programs and Associate Dean. In 2012 Dan established the International Business Program, the first and only Undergraduate International Business Program in Israel and has been the Director of the program ever since.

At COLMAN he was Head of the Teaching Excellence Authority, serves on COLMAN’s Academic Managing Committee, Board of Trustees, and the boards of the Het Center for the study of Regulation and Competition, the Zanbar Center for the study of Israel’s Economy, and the Chinese Media Center.

Prior to joining COLMAN, Dan was a faculty member at The University of Southern California and Tel Aviv University, a visiting professor at The University of Michigan, The Vlerick Business School in Ghent, Belgium and The Interdisciplinary Center, Israel. throughout his teaching career spanning more than 35 years, Dan has received a number of academic awards for excellence.

Dan has published in journals such as Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Management Accounting Research, The International Journal of Project Management, The International Journal of Accounting and Journal of International Accounting Research. He currently serves on the editorial board of The Journal of Accounting Education.

His research interests include International Accounting, Benchmarking, Costing and Control and Valuations. Current research projects focus on the value of public (non-accounting) information and the regulation of SME’s.

He served as chair and member of professional accreditation committees for the Council for Higher Education in Israel, and coordinator of National CPA exams in Management Accounting for the Accountants Council in Israel.

1 Merin Yuval

Prof. Yuval Merin is an associate professor at the College of Management Academic Studies (COLMAN) and serves as the Rector. He holds an LL.B. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (1993); an LL.M. (1997) and a J.S.D. (2000) from New York University School of Law.
Prof. Merin was a visiting scholar at UCLA School of Law (2004); served as Vice Dean of the Striks School of Law (2004-2008); and served as the Head of the Teaching Committee (2011-2019) and the Head of the Graduate Programs (2016-2019) at the Striks School of Law; served as the Dean of the Stricks School of Law (2019-2021).

Prof. Merin’s research focuses on the rights of suspects and defendants, on theories of social justice and feminist jurisprudence, and on the interplay between gender, family and the law.

He is the author of numerous books, articles and book chapters in the fields of evidence law, civil procedure, gender and human rights. Among his publications are the books Equality for Same-Sex Couples (Chicago University Press 2002); and Civil Procedure in Israel (co-authored with Ido Baum and Nili Eyal, Klewer Law International 2013).

Research interests and teaching: Evidence Law, Civil Procedure, Human Rights Law, Gender and Feminism.

2 Shabtai Itamar

Itamar Shabtai is the Janusz Korczak Chair for Academic Education in The Digital Age. He was the Dean of the School of Economics at the College of Management Academic Studies and Vice Rector for teaching and quality. He also serves as the head of the information systems and data analysis specialization. Since 2008, he is a visiting scholar at CGU (Claremont Graduate University). He received his Ph.D. in Information Systems from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and completed an executive program Leadership Strategies for Information Technology in Healthcare at Harvard University.

His main academic research interests are in the areas of IT and Innovation, Healthcare Information Technology, Medical Informatics and Economics of Information systems. Another research focus is innovative educational and learning technologies to improve academic teaching and learning. His publications have appeared in Health Policy, Journal of Biomedical Informatics, BMC Medical Informatics and Decision Making, Health Informatics Journal, Health Policy and Technology and the Journal of Medical Systems, among others.

Dr. Shabtai has been awarded several grants for his research including from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Space and the National Institute for Health Policy, among others. Dr. Shabtai has more than 25 years of practical consulting experience in the IT arena. He led many projects for leading organizational change and, adoption of innovative enterprise-wide IT solutions. He has been a senior consultant to leading healthcare organizations, as well as private and public sector organizations.

3 Rochlin Igor

Dr. Igor Rochlin received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Bar-Ilan University in the field of Search Theory and Game Theory. Prior to his doctoral studies, he served in leading positions in the Israeli high-tech industry and has a strong R&D background. Through his experience in both research and industry, Dr. Rochlin emphasizes theoretical contributions with real-world applications.

At present, Dr. Rochlin’s research focuses primarily on artificial intelligence and multi-agent systems, dealing with cooperation, influence of fairness on efficiency and economic search. Within this realm, particular attention is given to the role that information plays in multi-agent settings, typically incorporating considerations of various types of environments, distinguished by the agent’s goals (fully-cooperative or self-interested). In addition, Dr. Rochlin works to develop innovative energy efficient strategies for a number of important open problems in the field of cognitive radio networks.

Dr. Rochlin’s research has been published in the proceedings of leading competitive conferences and journals in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Furthermore, his research has won several awards and invitations for special fast tracked papers in prestigious artificial intelligence journals (e.g. Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research (JAIR), Journal of Autonomous Agents and Multi-Agent Systems (JAAMAS)).
