Dr. Michal Bitan is a lecturer in the Computer Science department. She develops courses in statistics and probability relevant to data science.

Michal holds a BSc in Computer Science from Tel-Aviv University, a MSc in Biostatistics and a PhD in Biostatistics both from Tel-Aviv University.

As part of her doctoral thesis, she developed models for planning effective studies using R software. Throughout her career, Dr. Bitan worked in the high-tech industry. Due to her love and passion for research and teaching, she has returned to academia as a lecturer and a researcher in the field of statistics and biostatistics since 2006. She has published articles in prestigious scientific magazines.
