Tal Alderoty serves as the Head of the Real Estate Appraisal Program at the School of Economics, The College of Management Academic Studies, and lectures on real estate and property valuation.
He is also a director and member of investment and credit committees in real estate companies and financial institutions. Additionally, he represents the Ministry of Defense as a member of the Appeals Committee for Property Tax and Compensation Fund and acts as an arbitrator and mediator in complex business disputes in the real estate sector.
Between 2011 and 2017, Alderoty served as the Chief Government Appraiser and Head of the Real Estate Appraisal Department at the Ministry of Justice. In this capacity, he oversaw property valuations amounting to approximately 47 billion NIS annually, managed dozens of appraisers and staff members, and implemented reforms to improve the appraisal system, transparency, and accessibility of public information.
Alderoty led significant efficiency initiatives, including the organization of external appraisers and the online publication of property valuation data. He also supported legislative processes in the Knesset and government and facilitated the resolution of real estate disputes. He initiated and led reforms in the Real Estate Appraisers Council, focusing on process efficiency, transparency, and public engagement. He currently serves as Chair of the Internship Committee and Chair of the Examination Exemptions Committee. Additionally, he is a member of the following committees and public bodies:

– Appeals Committee for Expropriation Compensation Valuations
– Real Estate Appraisers Council
– Standards Committee of the Real Estate Appraisers Council
– Advisory Committee to the Minister of Justice for the Appointment of Arbitrating Appraisers
Prior to his role as Chief Government Appraiser, Alderoty managed a private real estate appraisal firm that conducted thousands of valuations for a diverse range of clients, including government ministries, local authorities, banks, private developers, and individuals.
Alderoty holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a Master’s degree in Law (for non-lawyers), a license in real estate appraisal, and certification as an arbitrator.
He has approximately 30 years of experience in various real estate domains, including consulting, project oversight, and regulatory processes, with in-depth knowledge of industry challenges, barriers, and regulations.
