Dr. Yael Podkamein serves as the Head of the Digital Marketing and Advertising Program and the head of the Final Project Framework at the School of Media Studies. In her role, she shapes the academic vision of the program and fosters the development of Israel’s next generation of marketing and advertising professionals.
Dr. Podkamein brings over two decades of extensive professional experience in the advertising industry, including her former role as Vice President of Strategy at the leading advertising agency Reuveni Pridan. There, she worked as a strategist for some of Israel’s top brands, such as Strauss, Castro, Orange, and Clalit. As an independent strategic consultant, she has guided significant branding processes within the Israeli market, including mergers and rebranding efforts for Meitav Dash, Yoplait, YES, and Arkia.
In her academic capacity, Dr. Podkamein teaches core courses in advertising and marketing, including Advertising Fundamentals and a Workshop in Marketing and Communication Strategy. She mentors students through real-world projects in commercial advertising, blending theory and practice to prepare them for the challenges of the industry.
Her research focuses on marketing and consumer behavior. Dr. Podkamein holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Management from the College of Management, a Master’s degree in Social Psychology from Bar-Ilan University, and a Ph.D. in Marketing and Consumer Behavior from Bar-Ilan University’s School of Business Administration.
