Dr. Richter’s areas of research interest include hedonic information systems from a managerial, educational, social, and business perspective. Among the main themes of her research are mechanisms of rewards and incentives for motivation, and how gamification can be used in novel contexts, such as interpreting complex legal documents.
Dr. Richter has won several prizes, best paper awards, and honors; including from the University of Oxford e-Research Centre, the University of Minneapolis, and KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
