The Rina and Meir Heth Center for the Study of Competition and Regulation is a new joint initiative of the college’s faculties of Law, Business Management, and Economics, endowed by Professor Emeritus Meir Heth, faculty member of the Faculty of Law. Professor Heth is a renowned expert on Israel’s capital market, and has served in several senior positions including Supervisor of Banks, as well as chairman of the Stock Exchange, Leumi Bank, Teva and Psagot. The Center conducts research and advances knowledge and specialized tools in the field of antitrust law and regulation in Israel, with the goal of promoting comprehensive, professional discourse on the issue, in the general public and among decision makers.

Justice (ret.) Dr. Iris Soroker, the director of The Heth Academic Center for Research of Competition and Regulation, is a graduate of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She Is a former magistrates court judge.
Her research and teaching areas are commercial and contract law, anti-trust and intellectual property, competition and regulation
