In this interview Prof. Kaufmann, discusses the moment she realized she needed to intervene in the intellectual arena, the ways anti-Zionist discourse has been absorbed into academia, the challenges facing the Jewish world after October 7, and what she hopes to offer her students in her courses. Prof. Kaufmann is a scholar at Duquesne University in the United States, who’s work explores the intersections of law, feminism, Zionism, and Jewish identity, and is now one of the leading voices in understanding how contemporary antisemitism manifests in legal discourse, academia, and feminist theory.

In this interview, Dr. Helled, an Israeli scholar at the University of Turin who specializes in the history of international relations, national identity, and political and social processes in Europe and Israel, speaks about his experiences as an Israeli living in Europe during wartime, his research interests, manifestations of anti-Israelism and antisemitism in Italy, and what Israel can learn from Europe’s handling of hatred and incitement.
