Dr. Libby Igra is a clinical psychologist and a senior faculty member in the Clinical Psychology Academic Track at the College of Management Academic Studies. Her research focuses on change processes in psychotherapy, particularly the therapeutic alliance and rupture and repair processes, as well as attachment, metacognition, and emotion regulation from a developmental and dyadic perspective.
Her doctoral research at Bar-Ilan University examined mechanisms of change in metacognition-based therapy for schizophrenia. During her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Copenhagen, she studied factors influencing the therapeutic relationship as part of a large-scale study in mental health services in Denmark.
Clinically, she provides therapy and clinical supervision at the HILA Clinic for Women’s Mental Health across the Reproductive Life Cycle at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. There she works with women coping with emotional difficulties during pregnancy, the transition to motherhood, and after traumatic birth or loss.
