Liran Maymoni earned his PhD in Economics from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where his doctoral research used laboratory experiments to study how emotional states shape traders’ expectations and decision making in asset markets. His research spans behavioral economics, regional development, and public policy. His behavioral economics work includes experimental asset markets, public goods games, and tax compliance. In regional development, he studies innovation and peripheral economies. His public policy work evaluates topics such as health reform, prosocial behavior, and the effects of fiscal and labeling measures on consumer behavior.
